Listen to Carrie Underwood’s “Cowboy Casanova” – First Single from Play On

Following up on the news that Carrie’s third album will be entitled Play On, Carrie has released what we’d assume to be the album’s first single “Cowboy Casanova” on her official YouTube Channel.

It’s not an official music video, but it features the song after a brief introduction that reminds us that Play On will be released on November 3, 2009! We thought it was pretty neat that the “cowboy” in the video hits “CU113″ (Carrie Underwood, November 3) on the jukebox to cue up “Cowboy Casanova.”

“Cowboy Casanova” is a much faster first single than we’re used to getting from Carrie compared to “So Small” and “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” While the song is not quite a “Last Name” or “Before He Cheats,” it’s definitely more along those lines than “Small” or “Jesus.” Personally, we love it!
